Mission statement

The mission of the Oldham County Geographic Information Consortium (OGIC) is to provide County officials, departments, consortium members, other agencies, and the public with accurate and reliable geographic information through responsive and innovative GIS services. OGIC consists of Oldham County Fiscal Court, Oldham County Property Valuation Administration, Oldham County Water, LaGrange Utilities Commission, City of LaGrange, KY, and Oldham County Fire Chiefs Association. All consortium members contribute to and have access to data and GIS products. They maintain their own data and exchange updated information as changes occur. This helps maintain system cost efficiencies and eliminate duplication of data.

GIS Production and Services

Oldham County GIS Specialist Adam Reinhardt maintains and updates digital data layers such as addresses, street centerlines, parcels, and zoning on a continuous basis. OGIC also provides custom GIS-based map development, data development, custom cartography, and internal GIS training. Digital and hard copy map requests by County staff, Consortium members, and the general public are provided for as well. OGIC also supplies technical assistance to consortium members for hardware and software issues.

Services provided by the OGIC include

• Continue the acquisition and development of new and useful data and GIS layers.


• Promote and assist other County departments with potential GIS access and usage.


• Continuously update existing GIS layers such as property parcels and zoning as changes occur.


• Serve as the lead agency for a County-wide data clearinghouse.


• Establish and promote digital data development standards for geographic information.
